Backstreet Boys30th Anniversary Celebration

Over the last few months, my friend and BSBFangirls.com co-owner Emilia and I have been busy on a secret project that only a few found out about. It’s something that we never dreamed of doing before and are honored that we were asked to write a book celebrating the Backstreet Boys’ 30th anniversary.

The book, “Backstreet Boys: A 30th Anniversary Celebration,” is not a biography, but a look back at the group’s history and achievements, not only through stories and photos, but also through fans’ eyes. This book looks at the group’s triumphs and how they have connected with fans from all over the world – from the North America to Europe.

TheBACK STORY

Emilia and I, along with our other bloggers on BSBFangirls.com, Amber and Melly, were thinking of a way to celebrate the Backstreet Boys’ 30th anniversary. We came up with a plan, but then something happened – Emilia and I were approached to write a book celebrating the Backstreet Boys’ 30th anniversary.

Both Emilia and I have long backgrounds in the online Backstreet Boys fandom, from owning websites and blogs to writing fan fiction back in late ’90s. With our knowledge of the Backstreet Boys and the fandom, we took this project on and poured our passion for the group into it.

About The Authors

Karah-Leigh Hancock is a former award-winning journalist and pop culture expert who now works in marketing. Since becoming a die-hard Backstreet Boys fan in 1998, she has been featured in various books, articles, shows, and podcasts for her fangirl and pop culture knowledge. She was crowned the BSB Trivia Queen on the 2018 Backstreet Boys cruise and owns BSBFangirls.com. Karah-Leigh enjoys writing fiction, going to concerts and traveling the world with her friends, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Atlanta Braves, and binging TV shows.

Emilia Filogamo has been a Backstreet Boys fan since early 1998. She was born in Naples, Italy, but currently lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 2006 she created a fan site about Nick Carter. The website was a hobby and her way of showing support for Nick and the Backstreet Boys. It became a popular website among fans to get news on the group and Nick. During the twelve years that she has owned the fan site, she received an opportunity to work on Nick’s official website in June 2012, posting news regarding his career. She currently owns BSBFangirls.com, a fan blog for Backstreet Boys news and blogs written by fans. Besides being a Backstreet Boys fan, Emilia loves to read books, write, listen to music, watch movies, and watch soccer matches of her favorite team from Italy, Napoli.
