Hello, dear readers! It's been a while, hasn't it? You might have noticed the silence on the blog lately, but there's a good reason for it. Life has been a rollercoaster of exciting changes, and I can't wait to catch you up on everything that's been happening.

Redesigning and Reimagining

First things first, the website. If you've been a long-time reader, you might have noticed that the blog went into maintenance mode not too long ago. That's because it was time for a makeover! I've been hard at work redesigning the site to create a more engaging and user-friendly experience for you.

Redesigning a website is like renovating a cherished space; it takes time and a lot of love. I hope you'll enjoy the fresh new look and feel as much as I do. Stay tuned for more exciting changes as we continue to fine-tune the design.

Busy, Busy Life

Life has been a whirlwind of activity, both personally and professionally. As you may have noticed, I've been a little MIA on BSBFangirls. Balancing the demands of work and the surprises life throws our way can be challenging, and I needed to take a step back from blogging to focus on other aspects of my life.

But sometimes, stepping back is a way of stepping forward. It's during these times that we gather our thoughts, recharge, and return with even more passion and enthusiasm for the things we love.

One of the fun things I got to experience was my first Braves game for my birthday, which included meeting Blooper!

From Marietta to Atlanta: A New Beginning

In the midst of all these changes, one of the biggest ones was my move from Marietta to the vibrant city of Atlanta just a few miles away. The city's lively atmosphere, diverse culture, and incredible music scene have been both inspiring and invigorating. After everything I went through last year with my Mom passing away, I needed a change.

As a newcomer to living in Atlanta, I've been exploring every nook and cranny, discovering hidden gems, and immersing myself in the local culture. I can't wait to share my experiences and insights as I continue to explore this exciting new chapter.

Exciting Plans on the Horizon

Now, here's the part you've been waiting for – what's coming up! I've got a calendar filled to the brim with plans that I'm bursting to share with you. From conventions celebrating pop culture to a jam-packed lineup of concerts, there's no shortage of adventures on the horizon.

Speaking of adventures, just yesterday, my friend Kelly and I took a road trip to Athens. Our mission? To promote Nick Carter's upcoming concert at the Classic Center. We went old school with our marketing approach, posting flyers all around downtown Athens and the University of Georgia campus. It was a fantastic experience, and I can't wait to tell you more about it.

Back to Blogging: Let the Adventures Begin

So, what's next for the blog? It's time to dust off the keyboard, reignite the creative spark, and get back to what I love most – sharing stories and experiences with all of you. I'm thrilled to reconnect with my readers and embark on this exciting journey together.

Time for a makeover …

Time for a makeover …

As you can see by this new domain name, new layout, and more, this site got a facelift, or a makeover if you will.

I have been really busy working on a new project with Emilia that will be announced soon, working (hoping to be made Digital Marketing Manager soon!), opening a Shopify shop and still have my Etsy shop.

I've been working on all of that while dealing with some Psoriasis/Eczema issues and my mother's health problems. Oh, and BSBFangirls.com.

I've been a busy bee.

While doing all of that (I know, could I do more?), I went to 2.2 Backstreet Boys shows. I say 2.2 because I traveled to Washington, D.C./Bristow, VA on my birthday and the show was cancelled because of bad storms, but I did get to see the boys for a meet and greet. So, I've been to 2.2 shows. I also got to see Mandy Moore in concert (FINALLY!) and will be seeing Kevin Smith in October along with another Backstreet Boys show (or two) in September.

Could I be more lazy?

Also, I am going to be re-editing my novels and putting my name (not the fake pen name) in it, so for the time being they are offline. I've also updated some of the pages and content.

I'm not lazy I swear.

But I am going to keep this more up-to-date and possibly try to showcase some of my work on here. 🙂

A new beginning, but stuck in the past

I know what you're thinking - here we go again. Karah has started another site which will end up closing, blah blah blah.

Well, I can probably agree because over the last 20+ years, that's kinda what would happen. But this time is a little different.

A few months ago, I created a portfolio site on my old web host that showcased a lot of my work. The only thing was - I wanted a blog on there. The last few weeks, I worked, along with Emilia (BSBFangirls.com's new co-owner and previous owner of Kaos Online) to move the site to a new webhost. That meant redoing the portfolio site and having the ability to have a blog.

If you've followed for a few years, TheFangirlingLife.com was the original BSBFangirls.com. I've kept the domain the past year and a half because I loved it so much and knew I would want to do something with it again. For a little while, I had it pointing to my Etsy shop.

This site will be a lot about my past work, as a portfolio, but I will also blog over here about anything and everything - my distaste for the current state of journalism, music, television, movies, social media - whatever I want.

If you see the featured image with this post, you can see that it's an empty stage from a Backstreet Boys cruise. I picked the picture because it was in the past, but it looks like the present and future - empty stages, cruise ships, etc. I've been reliving a lot of stuff the past few days. People joke that I'm stuck in the '90s and, well, I am, but at this point I'm just stuck in the past.

I'm stuck in the past where I see my friends all the time. I'm stuck in the past where I see Backstreet Boys at least twice a year. Last year was the first year since 2008, I think, where I hadn't seen them atleast once a year. Things are getting better and I will get to see friends next month FINALLY, but it's still a long wait until the fun of next year.

So expect stuff from this site. No matter what I did in the past.

Note: I have to redesign and reupload content for the Design page, so right now that is Coming Soon. I will also have more information on the Hire Me page soon, also. I will let everybody know what I add on each of the pages, but for right now, the site is open. 🙂
